 Places to Visit:

• SOKA BEACH
  Soka beach is located on west Bali around 10 kms west to Tabanan city. The place is on the traffic between Gilimanuk and East Bali. So the place is used as a cooling machine stop beside it is popular for younger generation as the week-end and holiday sight seeing. There is a restaurant in front of the beach and you can enjoy the lovely black sandy beach while you can enjoy your meal or drink. A public areas have been built for shading and parking. The beach is not special, consist of coral and black stones, the only people like there is the sound of the wave of Indian ocean. The situation is almost the same as Pasir Putih beach in Situbondo, East Java. But the waves at Pasir Putih beach are not as big as they are at Soka beach and it is adjacent to the edge of forest of Soka beach is not far from the wet rice field. But, both of them have beatiful and interesting view for you to visit.

• MEDEWI BEACH
  This is a tiny, remote village in one of the least visited areas of Bali. It is very much a surfing hot spot, and most visitors who do stay here stay for that reason alone. For non-surfers, it does offer a glimpse of what so much of Bali was like before the growth of mass tourism in the 1970s, and is a great place to relax.

• BUFFALO RACE
  Makepung, literally means ‘chasing around’ in Bahasa. It’s a tradition of bull racing which has been passed through generations in Bali’s society, specifically in Jembrana. It started of as race between farmers during their spare time when they were plowing the field in the harvest season. At that time, they compete to race for goals using a cart tied up to the bull which controlled by a jockey. It then begun to evolved and draws more attention to the people. Today, the Makepung has become one of the most interesting and viewed attraction for local tourist as well as foreign. It also become an annual agenda in Bali, thus professionally managed. Makepung participants weren’t limited to farmers only. Employees and businessman are welcomed to participate or merely being the spectatres. In big races such as the Governor’s Cup, the amount of participants could extend up to 300 pairs of bull and even more. The atmosphere gets to be livelier with the jegog player (a Balinese musical instrument made from bamboo) doing what they do best. Negara isn’t the only place in Bali where you can see a buffalo race / makepung.

• RAMBUT SIWI TEMPLE
  Rambut Siwi Temple is one of the biggest Hindu Temples in Bali located in Negara regency, west part of Bali. It is a beautiful Hindu shrine set in the cliff bank with wide Indian Ocean just in front of the temple. This temple has been renovated and moved to the top of hill for better location of worshiping to the god. Rambut Siwi Temple or local people call Pura Rambut Siwi is supported by the local resident including the maintenance, ceremony and other activities.

• BALIAN BEACH
  Balian Beach is located around the corner of Lalang Linggah (meaning ‘The Wide Grassland’) village on Bali’s west coast. Since centuries the village area is home to the cultivation of rice but slowly it has transformed itself with several Bali accommodations into a spot popular among surf fanatics. You can still see many rice fields running down all the way to the beach and occasionally a couple of cows grazing lazily in the sun.
